Job Description:

• 
  
• The General Field Technician is a unionized position that provides services to meters in the field, in addition to other shop-based functions on meters.
  
  -
  Responsibilities:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Exchanges AMI electric meters.
    
  • Cleaning and retrofitting electric meters.
    
  • Research fieldwork complaints.
    
  • Coordinate and monitors fieldwork.
    
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • High School Degree or Equivalent.
      
    • Experience with using hand tools.
      
    • Ability to communicate with the public.
      
    • One year or more of utility or electric experience preferred.
      
    • Ability to travel 75% - 100%.

      Physical Requirements:
      
      
      • 
        
      • Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
        
      • Employees are required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
        
      • Employees are required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job.
        
      • Employees are required to climb ladders and use hand tools.
        
      • Clean and sort of electric meters, washing of meter covers.
        
      • Wiring of basic electric metering assemblies.
        
      • Material assembly preparation and breakdown of boxes.
