Basic Job Functions:
CHI Overhead Doors is seeking qualified candidates for Product Engineer to work in a cross-functional capacity to integrate product innovations among the various departments and to follow through to execution. This salary/ROA position is instrumental in the development, execution, and evaluation of new product ideas originating from customers, production, R&D, or any other source. This requires the ability to analyze data, compare capabilities, and communicate among all levels with the goal of seeking collaboration and driving new product applications.
Essential Functions

• 
  
• 
  Define the product strategy and roadmap, Set pricing tables, and Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life
  
  
• 
  Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases
  
  
• 
  Write the business case for investments, gain internal approval, and p ropose a product marketing plan and budget and then deliver against it
  
  
• 
  Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents, brief analysts, and the press
  
  
• 
  Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships
  
  
• 
  Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
  
  
• 
  Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients (if B2B)
  
  
• 
  Monitor, report, improve product performance, Channel management, support, and lead the virtual product team to ensure delivery of agreed objectives
  
  
• 
  Run trials, MVPs, develop and deliver go-to-market launch plans, Commission market and, competitor research
  
  
• 
  Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters, and other mechanisms. Develop and deliver training to technical sales support
  
  
• 
  Collate feedback from sales and customers, and represent the voice of the customer in senior-level management meetings
  
  
• 
  Execute technical design requirements whether internal or with an outside supplier. Deliver technical requirement documents for all NPD projects.

  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Previous participation in project teams responsible for product conception to commercial launch.
    
    
  • 
    Three years of experience in industrial sales or manufacturing.
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Bachelors degree in engineering.
      
      
    • 
      Project Management experience.
      
      
    • 
      Commercial background with new product launch experience.
