investors.As a Product Manager with the Wealth Management Advice
and Solutions division, you will be responsible for managing the
Annuity and Retirement Products strategy for Edward Jones. The team
leads and coordinates product, distribution, wholesaling, and
Product Partner strategy for the firm. We do this by working with
senior leaders of our insurance partners to co-create products that
meet the needs of Edward Jones clients and develop marketing and
wholesaling strategies to help deliver the best products to our
Financial Advisors and their clients. You will have the opportunity
to build and maintain a strong network of business partners, and
partner with them on strategies, solutions and opportunities. You
will lead cross-functional teams from Advice and Guidance,
Operations, Service, Compliance, and Legal to develop solutions
that help clients achieve their Retirement Goals.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute the firm's
Annuity and Retirement product strategy to ensure branch teams have
quality products and support needed to help clients achieve their
financial goals.
- Participate in the design and development of innovative
products that align with firm advice and guidance in collaboration
with internal and external stakeholders. Gather data and insights
and conduct analysis of advanced complexity that inform product
strategy and development.
- Responsible for product partner relationships of moderate to
significant size, complexity, number or impact in order to:
- Manage and maintain their portfolio of products including
influencing recommendations to add / remove / change products or
product partners as needed.
- Help shape and execute business plans that align with firm
strategic direction
- Ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is
effective (quantity and quality), aligned with key firm messages
and compliant
- Collaborate on the design and development of integrated
platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client
and branch team experience
- Resolve moderately complex / broad product partner issues as
escalated.
- Interface with product partner peer contacts (Eg. relationship
managers, product analysts, divisional sales managers, and
operational managers)
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the assigned product
partner products for the firm. Includes broad and some advanced
knowledge of product partner products features, benefits, pricing,
etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
- Develop understanding of rules and potential changes in the
tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line
- Leads certain additional responsibilities specific to the team
or area (Eg. recruiting, training, product partner coordination,
wholesaler effectiveness)
- Participate in broad division, firm or industry initiatives and
events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with
firm strategy (Eg. cross divisional-projects, internal committees,
product partner events, regional events, industry groups,
etc.)Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree required with quantitative discipline
preferred (Eg. finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering,
actuarial science, etc.).
- Series 7, 66 and State life / health license required within 12
months of hire.
- Progress toward advanced degree or relevant industry
designation(s) preferred
- ASA, FSA, CFA, CFP, CLU, ChFC, CPA, etc.Years of Experience:
- Generally, 7+ years of relevant financial services experience,
experience preferred.Functional Knowledge:
- Broad and some advanced knowledge of product line products
- Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
- Highly collaborative
- Solid written, verbal and presentation skills
- Intermediate proficiency with systems and tools such as MS
Office, Tableau and databases
