Job Description Global Industrial Hygiene Manager - Decatur,
ILPosition Summary:This role is based in the United States and
reports to the Global Health & Safety Director.
The incumbent will be responsible for all Global Industrial Hygiene
standards, programs, processes, and training.
Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with Technology Center
and Business Unit colleagues to ensure compliance with all
regulatory and ADM Industrial Hygiene requirements.Location:NAHQ in
Decatur, IL (preferred)QualificationsBachelor's degree in
Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or
a related field is required. A master's degree is
preferred.Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
is required.
Other professional qualifications (CSP, CMSP, RSO, ARSO) are highly
desirable.Minimum of 5 years of domestic experience as a corporate
Certified Industrial Hygienist.
International experience is a plus.In-depth knowledge of relevant
regulatory requirements.Proficient in using computer software such
as Microsoft Office Suite and industrial hygiene software for data
analysis and reporting.Strong understanding of risk assessment
techniques and experience in developing risk mitigation
strategies.Experience in conducting training programs and
delivering presentations on industrial hygiene topics.Ability to
travel frequently to various worksites as needed.SkillsStrong
knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, practices, and
regulations.Proficient in conducting exposure assessments, air
sampling, and noise monitoring.Excellent analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
and make sound recommendations.Strong understanding of engineering
controls and PPE selection and usage.Exceptional communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate
complex concepts to diverse audiences.Detail-oriented with strong
organizational skills, able to effectively manage multiple projects
and priorities simultaneously.Proficient in using industrial
hygiene equipment and software for data analysis and
reporting.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and
collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong commitment to
workplace health and safety and a passion for continuous
improvement.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement
comprehensive industrial hygiene programs, policies, and procedures
to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best
practices.Provide comprehensive worksite evaluation materials
designed to identify potential health hazards, including exposure
to hazardous chemicals, noise, vibration, biological agents, and
physical hazards.Participates and/or leads portions of IH
self-assessments or corporate occupational health audits.Provide
guidance for air sampling, noise monitoring, and other specialized
tests to assess the level of exposure to different agents and
determine compliance with regulatory requirements.Analyze and
interpret data collected from monitoring activities and prepare
detailed guidance and recommendations for corrective
actions.Collaborate with Technology Center and Business Unit
colleagues to design and implement effective engineering controls,
administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to
reduce or eliminate workplace hazards.Provide training and
educational programs to employees on various industrial hygiene
topics, including hazard communication, respiratory protection,
hearing conservation, and ergonomics.Stay up-to-date with new
regulations, industry trends, and advancements in industrial
hygiene practices, and recommend appropriate changes to existing
programs and practices.Leads or participates in incident
investigations related to occupational illnesses or exposures and
recommends corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Act as
a resource and provide expert guidance to management, supervisors,
and employees on matters related to industrial hygiene and
occupational health.Act as interface for third party Industrial
Hygiene service providersCollaborate with regulatory agencies and
participate in inspections and audits to ensure compliance with
applicable laws and regulations.Excited about this role but don't
