Job DescriptionNational Accounts Manager - Industrial - RemoteBioSolutions Division, Carbohydrates SolutionsThis is a full time, exempt level position.The successful candidate will be a dynamic and results driven sales professional with a proven track record in developing new business within the Industrial sector. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and a relentless drive for achieving sales targets. This position will be responsible for hunting new business in multiple subsegments including coatings and adhesives, mining, renewable chemicals, water treatment and exploring areas that are looking for sustainable solutions to replace petrochemicals. Accounts once brought into the business will also be need to managed and nurtured. Our general industrial segment is one of the six key segments for the BioSolutions business, which is focused on bringing sustainable solutions to the industrial marketplace. The other five key segments in this business are Sustainable Paper & Packaging, Fermentation, Plant Health, Construction and Consumer Care.Desired Characteristics5+ years of Industrial Sales experienceEntrepreneurial mindset, strong hunter mentality with strong desire to develop and own relationshipsDemonstrated success in developing and implementing new business strategies, resulting in revenue growthResourceful, self-starter with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work as a team player in a growing, quickly-changing business environmentProven service and customer focus with ability to build customer relationships across all levels of management, purchasing, marketing, R&D and plant personnelDemonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and report developments to cross functional teamsWillingness to learn, assist and manage all customer channels and productsDesire/motivation to help promote other ADM products to "key" relationshipsEssential ResponsibilitiesWork closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for our customersDevelop new sales for our general Industrial business in North AmericaBe recognized customer expert and key point of contact for ADM Carbohydrate Solutions portfolio that includes dextrose, fructose, glucose syrups, maltodextrin, corn starch, corn steep liquor, citric acid and derivativesRecommends Specialty "value-added" solutions, including but not limited to new products, technologies, andprocesses to obtain new business in support of Fermentation segment growth targetsFacilitate and drive discovery meetings with new prospects, understanding applications and customer needsContinually draws insights on customer needs and seeks opportunities to translate these into actionable plans and new sales developmentDevelops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the markets and competitive landscapeDevelop targeted customer lists in collaboration with Industrial Segment Leader and Sales DirectorDevelop and maintain up-to-date 'fact-based' customer development plansAnalyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future growth at prospects and accountsActive use of Salesforce CRMEstablish and maintain professional relationships within ADM business unitsWholly responsible for contracting activitiesUltimately responsible for effective management of cost levers (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivablesQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Science, Marketing, Business or related field and a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Sales experienceNew business development mindset and approach to prospecting in the marketplaceRobust consultative selling, negotiation and presentation skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong planning and organizational skills with specific competency in prospecting, account planning and goal settingProactive and result-orientedGood computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordStrong Salesforce skills to drive sales opportunity pipeline and account plansTravelOvernight travel is required (40% minimum)This position is remote based.
