Job Description Account Manager - Plant Based Proteins NA -
RemoteNature and ScopeThe function of the Account Manager is to
own, develop and grow
existing and new Plant Based Protein customers in North America (
US and Canada) Major AccountabilitiesThe position will be remotely
located and will utilize the Decatur IL
location for support.Job Responsibilities: Managing and developing
relationships across key customer influencers and decision
makers.Find, vet and evaluate new business opportunities to develop
plant protein market share with existing customer demand but also
actively participate in new developments involving protein
inclusion.Gathering and using relevant market information to the
input and design of the business strategy at customer, market,
pricing and product level.Interfacing with a portfolio of
customers; negotiate sales contracts.Managing sales contract
execution from commercial agreement to delivery on time.Must be
able to define and deliver the annual sales plan for assigned
markets.Managing sales volumes, pricing, credit issues, and
contract status via interaction with the business support
teams.Employing customer related systems ranging from planning
tools to CRM systems.Coordinating special customer requirements
through Organization.Prepares action plans for effective search of
sales leads and prospectsInitiates and coordinates development of
action plans to penetrate new markets according to the strategic
roadmapProvides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all
completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval,
while striving to maintain maximum profit marginMaintains accurate
records of all pricings, sales, activity reports and contract
balancesEducation/ Experience Minimum - Bachelor's Degree is
required, , MBA or related advanced degree desirable A minimum of 5
years of experience in the food ingredient or supplement
industry.Proven experience building new and existing relationships
with key customers for Plant Proteins, including those in key
strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level.Superior
strategic and tactical business planning skills.Skills required:
Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation
skillsHighly self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and presents
strong work ethicStrong time management and organizational
skills.Dedication to learning and cultivating new skill sets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and OutlookRobust Contact Relationship Management systems skills
preferredEffective and efficient multi-tasking
capabilitiesExtremely comfortable with high level computer use in
multiple programs, simultaneouslyStrong problem recognition and
resolution skillsAptitude for working both as, team member, a team
leader, and autonomouslySales meeting management (scheduling,
agendas, actionable item identification, follow up)Project and
timeline management skills for development and sale of new
productsProfessional presentation development and delivery through
concise written and visual representationsThis position offers a
