Procedures preferred not required; intensivist coverage 75% of the time or more but there will be days that we do not have an intensivist on site. We have tele-ICU to assist as well.4. Specialty backup: Ortho, General (one does thoracic and vascular), Urology, GI, ENT, Hem/Onc, Psych5. Typically ER or Anesthesia will manage intubation in a code, however it is possible that the hospitalist will be the most qualified in the room and on limited occasions will lead the code. They have to be comfortable with it in those situations.6. Is ICU rounding required? Yes, with intensivist support is not here.7. Back up: Tele-ICU8. Size of ICU: 8 beds but we're in a surge and 10 additional beds have been created9. Is there MD coverage in the ICU, etc? See #310. Average number of admits per day/week: around 5 per day with APP support to help with admissions11. Board Status: Bylaws require BC within 5 years of training12. IM or FP with how much min experience? Either one. Prefer 1-2 years experience if FP13. Emergency Privileges Available for clean files. Credentialing typically takes 4 weeks14.
