Pay Information $2,586 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour days Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years obstetric experience License: Current RN license in IL Certifications: BLS, EFM (external fetal monitoring) Training Must-Have: Advanced understanding and interpretation of obstetric patients and associated diagnoses Description: Obtain an extensive obstetrical, medical, surgical, and family history of patients. Complete a focused obstetrical assessment. Communicate and collaborate with sonographers and providers. Perform blood draws and injections. Provide education and resources to patients. Utilize equipment including 7 ultrasound machines and 4 fetal monitors. Engage in computerized charting using Epic software. Participate in a weekend and holiday rotation for scheduling. The nurse-to-patient ratio depends on the role assigned to the RN. Daily case load averages 40 patients. Staffing varies from 4 to 6 RNs depending on patient schedules. Dress code consists of scrub attire with no specific color required.
