Types of procedures required. /nMRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for Radiologist interpretation. In addition, The MR Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care. /n/n2./tEquipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)/t/t/nGE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T) – EPIC Charting – McKesson PACS System/n/n3./tRequired skills and minimum years of experience./t/n1 year of MR experience/n/n4./tSpecific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)/nARRT or ARMRIT, BLS, /n/n5./tShift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) /nDependent on department needs. First shift (7am-7:30pm) Third shift (7pm – 7:30am). Does not take call and is not scheduled on weekends. /n/n6./tFloating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)/nWill maintain assignments within the Medical Center and the designated magnets therein. /n/n7./tBed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept./n650 bed hospital – 5 total MR magnets at OSF St. Francis Medical Center/n/n8./tNurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) N/A/n /n9./tDress Code: No specific scrub style or color is required. (Refer to Personal Appearance Policy 115)/n/n/n10./tTell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Is this inpatient rehab, outpatient, or acute?/nThe department is located within a Level 1 trauma center. The department scans a combination of outpatients and inpatients. /n/n/nAdditional Comments: /nOur facility scans a wide variety of patients ranging from routine to critical conditions of all age demographics, including under sedation and anesthesia. Our facility performs numerous protocols both routine and complex in nature within Neuro, Body, and MSK designations.
