Description: The position is for a Pediatric Registered Nurse.
Shifts are on nights from 18:00 to 06:30. The unit has 11 rooms and
16 beds. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
First-time travelers are accepted. You will be required to work
every other weekend. Floating within the facility may be necessary
to meet needs. Open to discussing schedule requests with
management. No travel radius restrictions for locals; an active
state license is required. Preferably, there should be no more than
5 days of requested time off. Candidates may be called off for up
to 36 hours without compensation for canceled hours. You are
required to have experience in handling hyperbilirubinemia and
insulin administration. Skills in breastfeeding support,
oral/nasogastric tube placement, and IV management are necessary.
Knowledge of infection prevention and wound assessment/care is
essential. Experience with electronic medical records is required.
The facility is a Level II trauma center with a focus on pediatric
patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from various
healthcare services. Daily census ranges between 1 to 6 patients.
You may assist with outpatient catheterization and lab procedures
for children. Candidates should have some experience with adult
patients as well. Floating to adult units is required when
pediatric census is low.
