Neurology Physician Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens neurology physician (contract/travel) Specialty: Outpatient Neurology Clinic Location: Decatur, IL 62521 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs) Schedule: 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Estimated Patient Encounters per Shift: 16–25 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $5780 - $6850 Neurology Physician Qualifications Minimum 1 year of clinical neurology experience required Board eligible or board certified in Neurology (ABPN preferred) Active Illinois medical license (temporary privileges available) Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS Fellowship training in neurology or related subspecialty preferred Proficiency in EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, pain management, botulinum toxin administration, sleep studies, and disability evaluation preferred Neurology Physician Responsibilities Provide outpatient neurology consultations and ongoing patient care Interpret radiologic exams (preferred) Perform and interpret EEG, EMG, NCV, and evoked potential studies Conduct nerve and muscle biopsies as needed Administer botulinum toxin (Botox) treatments Participate in pain management and disability evaluations Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters Apply now to join our Decatur neurology team and advance your healthcare career in Illinois!
