Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Decatur, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,416 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Decatur, Illinois, 62526! Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License: Active IL license required or in application process Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Experience in Antepartum Care, Labor and Delivery, and High-Risk Antepartum - Skills in IV Therapy and Phlebotomy - Medication administration, including antihypertensives and magnesium sulfate therapy - Neonatal care and postpartum care experience Description: Position available for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. This is a night shift role in a 18-bed unit. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor and Delivery are required. First-time candidates will be accepted. No weekend requirements are set. Candidates must hold ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications. On-call duty is not required. The RN will float within the pediatric department based on facility needs. Schedule accommodation requests may be discussed with management. Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions. It is preferred that candidates have experience in community hospital settings. Cerner experience is also preferred. Candidates must have required skills in managing labor and delivery procedures. The role includes responsibilities such as assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and managing postpartum care. Candidates will also assess and care for newborns in the delivery room. They will perform necessary assessments and provide discharge teaching to parents. Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns are essential skills. Professionals in this role will engage in pain management strategies and care for postpartum patients, including those with complications.
