Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Decatur, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have active Illinois license or be in application process Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Med/Surg experience required Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience Telemetry - remote monitoring experience Gastrointestinal case skills/experience Genitourinary/Renal case skills/experience IV therapy and phlebotomy skills/experience Medication skills/experience Respiratory case skills/experience Professional knowledge and skills Description: The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The shift is three 12-hour days from 0600 to 1830. The average daily census is 35 patients. Candidates are required to have a minimum of two years of experience. New graduates will not be considered. Weekend work will be required every other weekend. Candidates must float as needed per department needs. The client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without additional compensation. If more hours are canceled than permitted, the client will be billed for the excess. If candidates are placed on-call instead of being called off, that will be considered a called-off shift. The facility is an acute care hospital with 372 staffed beds. Candidates should have experience with isolation precautions and wound care. Experience with Cerner charting is required. Candidates must demonstrate skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and starting and maintaining IVs. Additional required skills include managing diets, renal failure, and using rapid response teams. The facility provides support from various interdisciplinary teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Special procedures performed include foot and leg amputations and thoracentesis. Candidates will need to manage various patient diagnoses such as CHF, neuro, GI bleed, and infections. The daily patient ratio experience is expected to be manageable within the unit context. All candidates are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
