Surgical Tech Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,086 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8 Hours per Shift: 08:00 Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required. License: No license required for this role. Certifications: BLS required, CST preferred. Must-Have: - Experience in General OR, Teaching Hospital, Trauma. - Required skills in various surgical procedures including ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Oral, Orthopedic, and Urology. - Experience with emergency management and equipment/instrumentation. - Understanding of professional knowledge and skills related to aseptic technique, isolation precautions, and radiation safety. - Trauma Level I experience required. - Teaching Hospital experience preferred. Description: Position available for an OR Tech / Surgical Tech. Shift is on days, working five 8-hour shifts each week. Average daily census is 50-60 cases. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Weekend requirements include once a month with a total obligation of 16 hours. On-call commitment is required as needed for the department. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected. Candidates should discuss any schedule requests with the manager. Time off requests must be reviewed and approved by the manager. Candidates need to arrive three business days prior to compliance for fingerprinting requirements. Special requirements include experience in various surgical case skills and procedures.
