Overview Carle McLean County Orthopedics Position Highlights:
Number of Physicians or APP: 11 physicians (plus 1 psychologist,
but our nursing staff does not assist Dr. Jepson); 8 APPs Patient
population (age, diagnosis, specifics about Clinic): Typically, not
newborns, but in general we see any age range Number of Patients
seen at clinic per a day: Each provider’s clinic varies, but could
be anywhere from 10-12 to 18-20 patients per ½ day clinic
Department culture and resources: We have a team of primary nurses
as well as float nurses who truly work together and support one
another. We work closely with the providers – physicians and APPs,
ortho techs – CMAs/ATCs, scribes, and admin staff – PSRs,
authorization team, and therapy staff Frequent nursing
skills/equipment used: Phone triage is essential; providing
education regarding treatment plans/surgery/pain procedures may
happen in person during clinic or on the phone when patients call
back with questions; multi-tasking with returning phone
calls/portal messages/helping during clinic/returning messages to
PSR staff trying to schedule patients to name a few; being
available to draw blood when needed for PRP injections;
organizational skills and being able to prioritize is key – we have
a very fast paced practice Qualifications Certifications: Licensed
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support
(BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)American
Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), Education:
H.S. Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Responsibilities Provides and
facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area
of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and
scope of practice.Ensures documentation of care is complete and
leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care
or clinical outcomes.Assists nursing leadership in the development
of departmental standing orders.Shows initiative and dependability
including punctuality and attendance.Fosters a culture of
outstanding patient service showing courtesy in interactions with
patients, physicians, and co-workers.Seeks new learning experiences
by accepting challenging opportunities and responsibilities.Follows
appropriate dress code presenting a professional image.Expected to
be a positive and responsible team member with a good
attitude.Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating
assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the
practice of nursing. Provides phone triage, and returns patient
phone calls withing one business day. Assist in minor procedures
that may put RN in contact with blood borne pathogens. Executes
prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers
prescribed medications, monitors and documents treatment progress
and patient response. Assists during clinic by providing patient
education, submitting therapy/MRI orders, work notes, medications,
etc. Brings patient care issues to physician’s attention. Manages
physicians schedule for clinic and surgery. Obtains and documents
health history, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses

range for this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This
represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at
the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation
offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors
including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience,
qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and
