Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: ACLS Preferred, BLS Certification Must-Have: None Description: The unit has 32 beds. Patients will have telemetry only if ordered. Telemetry is monitored 24/7. IV drips include dopamine at a constant rate for renal perfusion. Heparin is used for medical patients. The unit manages stable ventilator patients. Bipap patients are also managed. The unit cares for patients with acute and chronic renal failure. Dialysis and fluid overload patients are included. The patient population includes medical and surgical patients. The staff includes internal medicine physicians and family practice providers. There may be overflow from hospitalist services. The cancellation policy allows clients to cancel shifts under specific conditions. The charting system used is Cerner.
