Job Description:
At Carle Health, we are dedicated to enhancing patient health
outcomes with a focus on community-based care. We are looking to
expand our compassionate, expert team with the addition of a
Lactation Consultant RN. This specialized role will focus on
advising and supporting breastfeeding mothers, from prenatal to
postpartum periods, contributing to the overall health and
well-being of new mothers and their infants at critical stages. By
joining our team, you will be part of a dedicated group of
professionals who implement the latest in research and medical
treatments to provide exceptional care. Conduct lactation
assessments to determine mothers' and infants' needs and create
personalized breastfeeding plans. Counsel and educate mothers on
breastfeeding techniques and the benefits of breastfeeding.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure integrated and
comprehensive care for mothers and infants. Maintain documentation
of consultations and patient progress. Lead breastfeeding classes
for expecting and new parents. Stay updated on the latest lactation
research and guidelines to ensure evidence-based practices.
Advanced knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and lactation.
Excellent communication and counseling skills. Ability to
collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse (RN) license in relevant state. Board Certified Lactation
Consultant (IBCLC).
