We are looking for an experienced Recruitment manager to own and shape the delivery of resourcing needs across our manufacturing plants in North America. Based from either Decatur IL or Loudon TN, you'll be part of a small global team, but working in partnership with HR and Business Managers to drive recruitment best-practices, raising brand awareness in target markets to enable diverse and inclusive hiring. This is a great opportunity for an experienced inhouse recruiter to bring great talent into our business, challenging and evolving our processes and building strategies to proactively meet future needs of the organisation.

About the role

This is a new role providing dedicated Recruitment support at the manufacturing Plants of North America for the first time. You'll have operational responsibility for delivering the resourcing requirements, but also to make a long term impact by raising the profile of T&L in local labour markets, and developing a long-term strategy to support the needs of Operations and Engineering teams proactively. From operators and technicians to Engineers and Supply Chain, the recruitment will be varied - from volume campaigns to super niche sourcing, and you'll have access to tools and new-technology to help you succeed.

Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition you'll play a part in shaping the global Talent Acquisition resourcing model and tool-kit, and you'll have the support of the Corporate Recruitment Manager to access knowledge and resources, and have assistance at recruitment events and on cross-functional projects. You'll also partner with HR colleagues and Hiring Managers to ensure delivery of best-in-class candidate experience underpinned by a fair and equitable assessment processes.

More specifically you'll be responsible for:

  • Embedding and managing the end-to-end recruitment processes with candidate experience front of mind fair and equitable, reportable for I&D, internal mobility and engagement strategy
  • Forging strong relationships with Line Managers and Business Unit Leads to understand the business, its objectives and strategic ambitions
  • You'll be working closely with HR and Plant leadership to understand Headcount requirements, providing feedback on successes and challenges, in order to implement new ways of working as required
  • Strengthen T&L brand recognition by proactively driving our employer brand across all sourcing channels in the toolkit, and adding new as appropriate - e.g. Linked In, Glassdoor, Local-based employment centres and colleges etc.
  • Supporting Hiring managers through role briefings - coaching and challenging as required to ensure 'best practice' is understood, I&D initiatives are supported, and processes and policies are adhered to
  • Creation of engaging job advertisements and appropriate placing to drive diverse applications - monitoring and advising on alternative channels as required
  • Selection and assessment of candidates with structured methodologies - from application sifting, telephone screening and competency-based interviewing - and supporting others to adopt best practices
  • Creating and maintaining reports/data dashboards to provide timely metrics for recruitment updates, workflow management, and D&I as required.
  • Keeping up to date on key market trends and competitor activity and using this intelligence to advise senior stakeholders in the business and influence change
  • Ensuring that all recruitment activities undertaken are fully aligned to the diversity and inclusion strategy
  • Identifying local recruitment opportunities at career fairs, ingredients conferences, and academic events (career fairs, early career events. Etc)
  • Championing the use of Workday, ensuring compliance from end-users in the recruitment process flow, supporting with training as required
  • Collaborating with the North America Corporate Recruiting Manager and Global Head of Talent Acquisition to define and roll out new ways of working, systems, processes, tools, etc.

What you'll need to have

  • Relevant in-house experience gained in a manufacturing environment, managing recruitment across a multiple sites ideally
  • Experience driving recruitment best practice and standards throughout the business, being accountable and holding others to account
  • Curiosity, a creative problem-solving approach and innovative thinking around how to engage with target audiences
  • Regular Hourly recruitment experience essential (Union exposure preferred) with annual College recruitment experience a plus
  • Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management experience
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor, but adept at bringing people together and managing the contributions of others on recruitment drives.
  • Experience of successfully navigating a complex/ matrix global organisation
  • Expert in interviewing and assessment techniques for behavioural fit and technical requirements
  • Strong project management skills
  • Credible and easily able to influence others
  • Experienced ATS user - ideally Workday - to track candidates and manage processes efficiently
  • Collaborative with a customer centric approach
  • Results oriented and delivery focused
  • Experience stakeholder management up through executive leadership
  • Ability to travel to various plant locations as required


Our dedicated Talent Acquisition team is currently small but growing. Globally spread, the Corporate Recruitment Manager for North America is based in Estates, Chicago and the Global Head of TA from Central London. This role can be based from either our Decatur or Loudon plants, but note that we are fully remote working until later this year, with occasional travel into the respective offices for meetings, anticipated thereafter. However, as much of the plant recruitment activity will be based onsite, you would need to the office location regularly, and travel between all sites as required.
