Job Description:
Job SummaryThe Residential Supervisor is responsible for the
daily management of a residential living environment; this living
environment promotes the learning of skills for emotional, mental,
and physical health; primary responsibilities include providing a
healthy, safe, clinical and structured environment, as specified in
each youth's Individual Treatment Plan and the OHU Residential
Program Plan.Job Duties Include:Supervises a team of youth care
workers as they perform duties associated with the day-to-day
training, modeling, and skill-building of youth assignedSupervises
a team of youth care workers as they teach and participate in
individual and group instruction in daily living, recreational
activities, social skills, and independent living skills as
prescribed by each youth's Individual Treatment Plan and the OHU
Residential Program PlanParticipates in continual training and
maintains certification in the implementation of Therapeutic Crisis
Intervention (TCI), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency
(ARC) and all other required trainingSupervises staff as they
follow OHU Residential Program Plan, including daily schedule,
trauma informed care and mental health treatment of youth in
residential careDemonstrates the highest investment in and
commitment to quality improvement practices in order to
continuously improve the delivery of services to our
residentsParticipates in a weekly Clinical Team Meeting of assigned
residential homeFacilitiates staff team meeting of residential
homeCompletes Behavior Management Plans for all youth of
residential homeParticipates in all Individual Treatment Team
Meetings and Reviews, Additional Staffings, Transition, and
Discharge StaffingsAttends training, seminars, and conferences as
assignedCompletes, in a timely and accurate fashion, all
documentation required for the position; approves all Medicaid
Interventions of all supervised youth care staffCompletes all
performance evaluations within specified time framesProvides
supervision to youth care staff of assigned residential home,
including all documentation of supervisionSchedules all youth care
shifts for assigned home, managing leave and vacation and
minimizing any overtime shiftsResponsible for an OHU credit card,
coding and submitting of receiptsPerforms on-call duties as
assignedTreats with absolute confidence all information concerning
OHU residents and programQualificationsEducation BA/BSW degree in
the related field and MHP certification preferred2 years college
completed requiredExperience5 years residential or other approved
mental health experience required OtherValid driver's license and
acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for
auto insurance DCFS background check & approval to transport
youthMust be physically able to complete Therapeutic Crisis
