Job Description:
Summary:
The Packaging Department inspects and packages injectable products
as they are received from Manufacturing. Both pre-inspection and
inline inspection are utilized to ensure product integrity. The
packaging lines are utilized to ensure schedule adherence;
Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) assure product quality before
releasing to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in inspection & packaging. Carries
out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of
relevant related work in the pharmaceutical industry experience,
plus one (1) year in a team leadership role. Work experience in a
sterile aseptic injectable processing environment is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write clearly. Ability to speak effectively.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic math concepts
Computer Skills:
Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access, as
this individual will perform work within these systems on a routine
basis.

Must pass a background check
Must pass a drug screen
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to
sit and use their hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is
occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms;
climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to
50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and
depth perception.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is
occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic
chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the
work environment is usually moderate.
