Job Description Groundskeeper - Decatur, ILThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.Position SummaryThe successful candidate for this position will assists in the maintenance and landscaping duties of the outside grounds of all locations of responsibility.Physical RequirementsMust be physically able to stand, walk and climb ladders and stairsHeavy liftingMust be able to work in adverse weather conditionsMinimum QualificationsMust be a U. S. CitizenMust successfully pass the Company background investigationMust possess a valid driver's license or be able to lawfully operate a motor vehicle in a work environmentMust possess a high school diploma or GED equivalencyMust possess basic computer skills including word processing, e-mail system use and work order system.Critical and Essential Job FunctionsCleans entry ways and mats at Corporate locationsSweep outside perimeter of Corporate especially around dumpster and dockEmpty all outside trash cans at CorporateAssist on landscape installations, hedge shearing and artistic pruningMow and weedOperate wide area mower, log chipper and other equipmentRepair fences and spread mulchMaintain and repair all lawn equipment, snow plows and outdoor toolsCut down treesOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesTruck deliverySnow removalAssist with special events, such as Annual Meeting, Safety Day meetingsTechnical ProficienciesThe successful candidate for this position must possess knowledge in:Small engine repair and maintenanceBasic plumbingKnowledge of tools and proper useLight carpentrySafety trainingForklift trainingLift trainingAssist with furniture moves as neededEssential TraitsMust demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrityMust demonstrate a high degree of timelines with respect to presence at work, assignments and meetings as well as with respect to the on-time completion of assigned projectsMust demonstrate a clear commitment to safetyMust demonstrate a positive and professional attitudeMust communicate effectivelyThe compensation range for this position is $15/hour to $18/hour.Excited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
