Division of Tabor School of Business / Center for EntrepreneurshipJob Description Position Title: Part-time Administrative Assistant (Working Afternoons) Department: Center for Entrepreneurship FLSA Category : Part-time, Non-exempt Working Relationships: Reports to : Director, Center for Entrepreneurship Works Closely with: Program Coordinator, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Graduate Assistant, Student Specialists Directly Supervises : Student Specialists Job Summary : This position provides program support to the Center for Entrepreneurship, faculty, staff, mentors, summer programs, and affiliate organizations and programs of the Center for Entrepreneurship. Work closely with community partners, sponsors with fundraising and promotional activities that provide increased visibility of the Center programs. Event management experience is a plus. Provides administrative program support to SCORE, a 30-member volunteer organization. Serves as the program support administrator of the SCORE Chapter 296 educational workshop program offerings. Works closely with the Program Coordinator in maintaining marketing and communication activities of the Center. Responsible for the training, scheduling, evaluating and supervising of paraprofessional student specialists who regularly support the Center. Responsible for student timesheet approval associated with Center operations. Responsible for all the tracking, invoicing, billing, revenue and expenses for the Center external fee programs. Schedules collaborative appointments with multiple parties and keeps project timelines moving forward to achieve highly successful program. Assists in the preparation of program summaries, evaluation materials, grant summaries and reports, and other materials as needed. Other Duties: 1. Other duties as assigned or needed by Director. Minimum Position Qualifications : Minimum two years of college with demonstrated project management experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Website development and Adobe Photoshop a plus. Familiarity with academic institutions and small business highly desirable Must have an understanding of event planning, public relations and/or donor/sponsor relations Ability to work independently and positively with a large, changing team of faculty, practitioners, entrepreneurs, students, student leaders and external constituents; professional and friendly demeanor and a positive, team-oriented attitude Must be a problem-solver and flexible in managing shifting priorities; able to complete complex projects in short timeframes. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills as well as interpersonal skills Must be extremely organized; must be detail oriented Possess discretion in dealing with confidential material Work Environment : Manual Dexterity: Dexterity to operate a keyboard Physical Effort: Intermittently sitting/standing/stooping Hearing and visual acuity within normal range Working Conditions : Typical working conditions found in most administrative work areas.
