***ACHIEVE MORE WITH VOLT***Volt is immediately hiring an Visual Weld Technician for a local leading organization in Decatur, IL.As an Visual Weld Technician you will:Work as part of a team that provides Visual Weld inspections to the steel fabrications assembly group.Individual is responsible for tracking and entering inspection results in electronic databases.Magnetic particle (wet/dry), liquid penetrant, visual weld inspection and other non-destructive inspection methods are occasionally required.The technician would be based in the production factory building.Visual Weld Technician candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:Individuals must have a HS diploma or GED, an associate degree or technical certification is preferred.Must have soldid welding/fabrication experience.Previous experience with porosity, fusion, depth, and crack characterization.Good communication, teamwork skills, and the ability to support a high velocity manufacturing environment are critical.Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirementsWe have job openings on both the second shift and third shift.Pay for this position is $18+/hr plus overtime and weekends as required.Experience with the following is a plus:Exposure to metallurgy or material science concepts and ISO 9001/17025Quality controlManufacturing or machining experience.As a Volt field employee, you can take full advantage of our Better U Academy.
