Position SummaryAs a member of the finance team, this position is
responsible for assisting with the analysis of financial data for
all aspects of the company, including budgeting and forecasting.
Based on skills, education, and/or experience, we are open to
hiring this position as a Senior- or Mid-level professional.Primary
Accountabilities
- Become the Strategic Partner with one or more of the business
units of Midland by:
- Develop relationships with Senior Management of assigned
Business Units to recognize and communicate areas of improvement to
further the financial performance of the unit.
- Facilitate the development, implementation, and ongoing
coordination of the quarterly forecast (including annual budgets)
and financial planning processes including monthly variance
analysis.
- Facilitate the ongoing evaluation and analysis of operating
business units using financial analysis and modeling tools
including key trend analysis and general ledger research to support
and drive sound business decisions.
- Assist with the production of monthly, quarterly and year-end
management reports including ad hoc reports as requested by
management.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of
the internal reporting structure.
- Work on activities and projects with others inside and outside
of the Finance department; and will lead mid-sized projects and
coordinate resources.
- Mentor other junior analyst.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including,
but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Perform other duties as assigned.Position
QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Certification
Preferred)
- 3-7 years of bank finance experience
- 2-5 years of bank specific Financial Planning and Analysis
experience
- Experience with Funds Transfer Pricing, budgeting and
forecasting softwareCompetencies:
