Job Description Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning - Harvard, IL or Fort Collins, COThe key purpose of this role is to lead and manage the company sales and operations planning process to balance supply and demand and drive organizational alignment to the sales and operations plan at the executive S&OP review. The Supply Chain Senior Manager ensures that clear segmentation rules are developed by Sales/Commercial to assign demand to the most efficient assets during soft markets, and to assign supply to desired customers during tight markets, while delivering at planned customer service levels. Inventory levels are also planned to adhere to target levels while being used to balance supply and demand.Relations:Functional: Business, P&L OwnerOperations, Procurement/Purchasing, Logistics: very close coordination and understanding of these functionsFinance: understand the market expectations, priorities, our strategy, etcIT, Finance, Compliance, Safety, Sustainability, Risk ManagementSupply Chain ADM COEResponsibilities:Assigns and prioritizes supply chain service levels to market/customer segments with Sales/CommercialLeads the Demand Planners in the creation of the statistical forecast and ultimate approved demand planLeads the Supply Planners in the creation of the rough-cut capacity plan and ultimate approved supply planServes as the escalation point for issues that arise in the demand and supply planning processesEnsures that an optimal demand and supply balance is achieved that meets service levels in the most profitable mannerPartners with key stakeholders in the inventory strategy review and the generation of the inventory planDrives organizational alignment on the sales and operations plan through the Business ReviewEnsures that the results of the S&OP cycle are clearly communicated to all partiesDrives improvement in Supply Chain metrics, including: OTIF, DIO, Attainment/Adherence, Forecast AccuracyUpgrade and optimize organization, skills, processes, and tools of supply chain planning (including best use of IT functions: MRP, ERP, and APS implementation)Leadership:Leads a small team of cross-discipline Supply Chain Planning professionalsSupports hiring, onboarding and training new employeesDevelops the team and individual employeesInfluences without authority, including to Business LeadershipQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering8-10 years of experience within Supply ChainTraining: APICS / CSCP certification a plusSkills:Understanding of the end-to-end S&OP and S&OE processFunctional experience in Demand, Supply and Inventory planningBusiness and financial acumenKnowledge of manufacturing process and target marketsCustomer and business orientationAbility to manage complex product portfolioTeam LeadershipExperience with ERP/MRP, APS.
Experience in building ad hoc solutions is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge in marketing analytics, reporting, and leveraging account-based intent dataStrong interpersonal skills are a must. Strong influencing and relationship-building skills.Proactive self-starter, demonstrating high initiative and critical thinking.
