Job Description Predictive Analyst, Reliability -
Instrumentation and Electrical - Decatur, IL or closest ADM
LocationThis is a full-time, exempt level position.ADM is currently
seeking a Machinery Vibration and Condition Monitoring Analyst to
be based at our Decatur, IL location or potentially other ADM
locations.
This "hands on" position will support multiple plant locations in
our geographic region.Reporting to the Predictive Lead, this
position requires analyzing and reporting the health of rotating
process equipment and instrumentation to proactively identify
component, equipment and system issues and recommend corrective
actions.Utilization of predictive maintenance and condition
monitoring programs to include vibration analysis, oil analysis,
ultrasound, AMS Device Manager and other condition monitoring
technologies are critical to the success of this role. This
position works closely with Operations Management, Site Maintenance
Personnel, Reliability Specialists and Engineers to identify and
resolve rotating equipment, instrument and valve related
issues.Position ResponsibilitiesPredictive program and condition
monitoring administration for rotating equipment and
instrumentation technologies including but not limited to
centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, blowers,
pumps, gearboxes, motors, instruments and valvesMentor and develop
colleagues regarding instrumentation and Intelligent Device
Management systemsPartner with Colleagues to support the
reliability technology scope of capital projects including scope
definition, sizing and selection, cost assessments, and
construction startup/supportPartner with ADM teams to implement
Intelligent Device Management processes and implementation
strategies; track and report successes that can be replicated
across the organizationSupport optimization efforts through the
assessment of existing instrumentation and the application of new
technologyReview and monitoring of equipment condition including
all available data, utilizing other critical operating process data
such as pressures, temperatures, flows, loads & efficiencies to
determine equipment healthVibration, Infrared, and Oil Analysis
Database ManagementProvide remote troubleshooting and field support
to field technicians to resolve machine and instrumentation
issuesReport equipment deficiencies utilizing EAM
(CMMS)Collaborates with responsible Operations and Maintenance
Personnel, to prioritize repairs of identified equipment
deficienciesRCA participation - provides relevant condition
monitoring history to support root cause analysis effortsPerform
other duties related to this function to ensure the reliability of
plant rotating equipmentThis position requires a combination of
office work and field work.
Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is
required.
The applicant must be physically able to work on and around
elevated fixed and rotating equipment.Required
QualificationsAssociate Degree in Engineering and a minimum 2 years
of experience in rotating equipment / mechanical maintenance/
reliability engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment
ORNon-degreed, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the
maintenance of rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing
environmentEntry level knowledge of vibration and oil
analysisKnowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies and
technologiesExperience using verbal communication, team
interaction, and presentation skills effectivelyExperience with
computer and standard software (MS Office, E-Mail, CMMS,
etc.)Demonstrated proficiency in the use, application and
maintenance of vibration data acquisition software and the
diagnostic equipment used to track the health of the site's
critical rotating machineryProven ability to interpret and analyze
vibration analysis, oil analysis, and process dataKnowledge of
general rotating equipment fundamentals such as assembly fits and
tolerancesAbility to travel up to 50% of time to various ADM
sitesPreferred QualificationsExperience with a wide variety of
process instrumentation including flow, pressure, level,
temperature, liquid analytical, and automated valve
assembliesExperience with intelligent device management systems and
tools (AMS Device Manager, WirelessHART, Field Communicators,
etc....)Category II certification in vibration analysisOil analysis
certification from the ICML, STLE or similar organizationExperience
specifying vibration systems including transmitters, probes,
accelerometers and the associated cablesUnderstanding of installing
vibration systems/ knowledge of proper groundingExperience in shop
and field balancing of rotating equipmentExcited about this role
