Decatur, IL ADM LogisticsThis is a full-time, non-exempt level
position.Position Summary:The Logistics Customer Service
Representative will act as the primary point of contact for their
customer accounts. This position will be responsible for the day to
day operations with each of their customer accounts to ensure their
transportation needs are met. The Logistics CSR will assist Sales
Managers in onboarding new customers and work with them to ensure
the customers have everything they need from our group. They will
manage each load from pickup to delivery, enter new loads into our
TMS system (McLeod TMS), rate new shipment requests, and work to
profitably grow each existing customer handed down from the Sales
group. The Customer Service Representative will report directly to
the Customer Service Manager. This role will be based at our
Decatur, IL North American Headquarters.Job Responsibilities:Assist
Account Management Team and Sales Team on day-to-day customer
operationsWork with Sales Team to onboard new customer
accountsManage each customer's shipment from start to
finishUnderstand customer's business and utilize knowledge and
resources to provide customized solutions to each accountAddress
and support customer challenges, opportunities and threats while
considering their tolerance for transit time, cost, risk and market
conditionsOwn all aspects of the customer relationship, acting as
the primary point of contact, and manage customer's logistics needs
including rate quotations, order management, and customer
reportsElicit customer feedback to help guide future product and
service offeringsTransition large customer accounts to Strategic
Account Managers to service and develop as neededTrain additional
team members, as necessaryLogistics consulting and cost
reductionsTrack and report trends in customer accounts to
management, including revenue and load count reportsDevelopment and
tracking of key performance indicators and metricsEstablish and
meet individual goals and objectives relating to all aspect of the
positionParticipate in department sales and operational
meetingsCompletion of customer tracking reportsTrack and trace
shipmentsEnter orders and quotesQuoting customer businessJob
Requirements:Excellent verbal communication skills with emphasis on
telephone communicationsStrong organizational skills and attention
to detailAggressive self-starter with keen negotiation skills in
order to be successful in this roleKnowledge of brokerage, third
party logistics and freight forwarding is helpfulPrevious sales
experience is strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office
applications such as, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is
requiredA college degree is preferredAbility to build strong
internal and external relationshipsAbility to work alone or in a
team environmentRelocation assistance is not available with this
